About Chad Swenson
I’m a seasoned Producer, Line Producer, and Production Manager with deep experience across film, television, documentaries, and commercials. With a proven track record in both creative execution and operational leadership, I bring a versatile, hands-on approach to production—skilled in everything from budgeting and crew management to on-set problem solving and client communication.
After nearly 18 years in Los Angeles, I returned home to Kansas City in 2018, where I continue to take on freelance production work—locally and in L.A., where I can often work as a local. I’m also open to full-time staff opportunities with production companies or advertising agencies.

My most recent staff role in Los Angeles was with Twelve Tone Productions (2006–2018), where I spent 12 years as a key member of the production team, managing 5–12 marketing, promo, or BTS shoots weekly for major studios and vendors.
I oversaw all aspects of production—from line producing and scheduling to crew booking, camera prep, and wrap accounting—relying on a trusted network of top-tier union and non-union freelancers. I collaborated directly with studio and agency executives to ensure creative needs and production goals were consistently met.
In Kansas City, I’ve worked with VMLY&R, Walz Tetrick, RW2, AMC Theatres, Amway, InTouch, and more on commercial projects for brands like Bud Light, NFL, Adidas, Tostitos, Tanqueray, Beneful, ADT, Omaha Steaks, and HBO’s Game of Thrones–themed Johnnie Walker Scotch campaign.
I’m also proud to have produced two award-winning feature-length documentaries with Just Like You Films: Anxiety and Depression and May Contain: My Life, which have earned Anthem and Telly awards. More importantly, these projects use the power of storytelling to foster empathy and create a more compassionate world.
